What is the Jagtag?

The Jagtag is the official university identification card for students, faculty and staff.

Why do I need a Jagtag?

Besides needing your Jagtag to idenitfy yourself as a member of the campus community,
you may need your Jagtag to check out a library book, make a long distance call, attend a
sporting event, or gain access to buildings and labs. Many professors and/or departments
require that you show or swipe your Jagtag when taking a test. Jagtag is also your flexible
debit spending card. The Jagtag is an essential part of everyday campus life. Remember
to carry it with you at all times.

How do I get a Jagtag?

Students must be registerd for classes at IUPUI and bring a valid photo id to one of our
two offices. If you have registered within the last 24 hours, please bring a print out of
your class schedule.

Does it cost?

For students, your first Jagtag is free. There is a $10 fee for faculty, staff and affiliates.
There is a $25 replacement fee for a lost or stolen card.

What do I do if my Jagtag is lost, stolen, or it becomes damaged?

Should you lose your Jagtag, contact Campus Card Services during regular office hours
to immediately deactivate your card. After hours, contact the Campus Police at 274-7911.
There is a $25 replacement fee for lost or stolen Jagtags. If your card is damaged,
bring the damaged or broken card to one of our offices for a replacement. There is no fee
for a damaged or broken card.

What is a Jagtag Debit Account?

A Jagtag debit account is very similar to a bank card, whereby purchases can be made all
across campus. Make a deposit to your account and swipe your Jagtag almost everywhere on
campus instead of using cash or credit cards.

How do I open an account or make a deposit?

Start the process by simply making a deposit. As an IUPUI student your account already exists
so you do nothing more to begin. Jagtag is conveniently accepted almost everywhere on campus
and provides the added security of carrying no cash. Click here for a complete list of deposit options.

Can I withdraw cash once I've made a deposit?

Campus Card Services does not allow cash withdrawals from your accounts.
You may choose to close your account by contacting Campus Card Services.
You will receive a check refund within three to four weeks for the balance remaining
on your card, less a $15 service fee.

How can I keep track of my balance?

Almost everywhere on campus that your Jagtag is accepted will display your remaining balance
after a transaction. Students may also call or visit our Card Office to obtain their
balances. To obtain a monthly transaction listing for your account, complete the request
form listed under Student Forms.

Does unused money rollover from semester to semester?

Yes. Your balance will remain on your account until a period of one year of non-use occurs.
At that time, the University will attempt to contact you to determine whether you would like
for your account to remain open. For a complete explanation please see the terms and conditions.
