Students
Jagtag is your official identification and recognizes you as an active member of the campus community. You'll show your Jagtag to professors, use it to check out library books,
and to purchase discount software
in the bookstores. In-person transactions on campus, such as visiting Financial Aid or the Bursar Office, require identification so be sure to carry your Jagtag with you at all times.
Students must be registered before a Jagtag can be issued. If you just registered for classes that day,
please make sure to bring a copy of your class schedule when you visit. A valid picture id (driver's license,
military id, passport, etc.) must also be presented.
As a student, your first Jagtag is free. There is a $25 replacement fee for lost or stolen
Jagtags.
Employees
Faculty and staff must be recognized in the university system as an employee and have an employee ID number
before a Jagtag can be
issued. We recognize that time is very valuable to you so please check with your department
to confirm this step has been completed before visiting our offices. A valid picture id (driver's license, military id,
passport, etc.) must also be presented.
Some departments may pay for the employee's Jagtag. Check with your
supervisor.
An Expense Authorization Form for ID Card
must be signed by your
account manager.
Affiliates to the campus (non-IU paid employees) are eligible for a Jagtag by providing signed verification
on departmental
letterhead from their respective department defining their university status.
If you are with the IU School of Medicine, you will be issued a School of Medicine ID card (with a jagtag logo). You'll enjoy the same
benefits and convenience, such as signing up for Jagtag (Payroll) Deduct. Your School of Medicine card IS a Jagtag.
For security purposes, it just looks a little different!
Employee Jagtags are $10. There is a $25 replacement fee for lost or
stolen Jagtags.
Effective January 3, 2006, all cards created will have your University ID number printed on them.
This is not your Social Security number. If you do not wish to have the number printed on your card,
please tell the Card Service Representative that is assisting you.
