What is EZ Deposit?- EZ Deposit is a convenient way to make a deposit to your Jagtag account before the start of a semester so you will have funds readily available to purchase the textbooks, course materials and other items you may need for the semester. Your EZ Deposit will then be billed to your Bursar account where it may be paid with financial aid (Title IV form must be signed), scholarships, grants, 529 funds or any other method of payment accepted by the Bursar Office.
How much can I deposit to my Jagtag using the EZ Deposit option? You can deposit $250 or $500 to your Jagtag using the EZ Deposit option. You may only select one amount.
How can I take advantage of the EZ Deposit option?
There are two ways to take advantage of the EZ
OPTION 1 - The EZ Deposit option is available in the "Optional Fees" section when you are registering for classes. Select the amount you would like to deposit to your Jagtag, $250 or $500. The selected amount will be billed to your Bursar account and placed on your Jagtag approximately 2 weeks prior to the start of the semester. You will receive an email when these funds have been added to your Jagtag.
OPTION 2 - The EZ Deposit option will also be available approximately 6-8 weeks prior to the start of a semester from the Jagtag website - July 1 for the Fall semester. Click the "Student" tab in the menu and select "Deposit Options". Locate the EZ Deposit option and follow the steps accordingly. The selected amount will be billed to your Bursar account and placed on your Jagtag approximately 2 weeks prior to the start of the semester. You will receive an email when these funds have been added to your Jagtag.
Please note, you can only take advantage of the EZ Deposit utilizing either option 1 OR option 2. You cannot sign up for the EZ Deposit during the registration process AND on the website.
Are there any requirements to using the EZ Deposit? Yes, there are three
1. The first requirement is that you must be a registered student for the upcoming semester. Please note if you are selecting the EZ Deposit option while you are registering for classes you are considered a registered student.
2. If you are planning on using Financial Aid to pay for your EZ Deposit you will need to sign a Title IV form. This form allows for your financial aid to cover the cost of the EZ Deposit. Completing a Title IV form only needs to be done once during your duration at IUPUI. For more information on Financial Aid or the Title IV form contact the Office of Student Financial Services.
3. The third requirement is that you pay the EZ Deposit amount on your Bursar account within 21 days from the start of classes. If you do not pay your EZ Deposit amount on your Bursar account during the given time frame, the EZ Deposit funds will be removed from your Jagtag account and any EZ Deposit funds that have been used must to be paid back through the Bursar Office. Student's accounts that still have pending financial aid or personal deferments will not be affected.
Will unused funds rollover to the next semester? Yes! When you utilize the EZ Deposit option, any funds remaining at the end of a semester will rollover to the next semester! This is your money and will remain in your account throughout your duration at IUPUI! View the Jagtag terms and conditions for complete details.
Does this mean I can bill my textbooks to my student Bursar account? No, but it does mean you can make a substantial deposit to your Jagtag and bill it to your Bursar account. You will then be able to use your Jagtag and EZ Deposit funds to purchase the textbooks and course materials needed for the semester.
Is there anything I should tell the cashier when using the EZ Deposit money? No. Simply hand the cashier your Jagtag and the payment for your purchase will be processed automatically using the EZ Deposit funds.
